From Adam to Ibrahim

Ibn Abbas narrated the Prophet (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) saying: “I was a light in the hands of Allah, the most elevated, before He had created Adam by two thousand years. That light had been praising; and the angels had been praising with it. When Allah had created Adam, He threw that light within his backbone. Allah descended Me to the Earth within Adam's backbone. He placed Me within Noah's backbone in the Ark. He threw Me in the fire within the backbone of Ibrahim. He had continued moving Me between the generous backbones and the pure wombs till He brought Me out from My parents; who had never meet in adultery.

Al-Qortubi narrated Al-Suhaili that Adam (the Peace be upon him) is also named as Abu Mohammad (the father of Mohammad), after the name of the Mohammad the Seal of the Prophets (the Prayers of Allah be upon them). It had been also said that in Heavens Adam is named as Abu Mohammad, while on Earth he is named as the Father of Humans. It had been narrated that Adam asked Allah, the most elevated, when He had created him: “Why had you named me Abu Mohammad”? Allah, the most elevated, responded: “Raise byour head”. Adam raised his head so he saw the light of Mohammad (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) in the Pavilion of the Throne. He asked: “O' God, what is this light”? Allah said: “This is the light of a Prophet of your descendants, His name in the Heavens is Ahmad, and in the Earth is Mohammad. If hadn't been for Him, I would not have created you, nor the Heavens or Earth”.

Allah, the most elevated, placed that light within the backbone of Adam. It shined his forehead and covered his own lights. Hawa' gave birth twenty times delivering forty twins. He son “Cheath”, however, had been delivered without a twin sister. This was due to the dignity of Sayedena Mohammad (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) when His light had been progressed from Adam to Cheath. That made Adam, prior to his death named Cheath as a guardian to all his sons and daughters.
