His Father’s Line of Ancestors   His Mother’s Line of Ancestors

His Mother’s Line of Ancestors

He is Mohammad (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) / son of Amena / daughter of Wahab / son of Abdianaf / son of Zahra / son of Kilab / son of Murra; in whom Al-Sayeda Amena joined the Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) his lines of ancestors.

This is the most generous and noble line of ancestors to Allah (the most elevated). Al-Hakem and Ibn Asaker cited Al- Sayeda Ayesha (Allah blessed her) narrating the Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him). He said: “Gabriel told me that he had moved across the world, east and west, but he did not find a man better than Mohammad. He had also moved across the world, east and west, but he did not find descendants better than those of Hashem”. Al- Imam Ahmad narrated Al- Musawar bin Makhruma (Allah blessed him) narrated the Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) saying: “Fatima is a piece of me; I will be enraged if she is enraged, and I will be vigor if she is vigor, all lines of ancestors will be discontinued in the Resurrection Day except my line of ancestors, my rope, and my in-laws”. It was mentioned, in various occasions, that Amir Al-Mo'meneen Omar bin Al-Khattab (Allah blessed him) sought to marry Um Kolthoum, the daughter of Ali bin Abi taleb (Allah blessed them) bearing in his mind the Messenger's Hadeeth: “…all lines of ancestors will be discontinued in the Resurrection Day except my line of ancestors, my rope, and my in-laws”, narrated by Al- Tabarani, Al- Bazar, Al- Baihaqi, and Al- Hafeth Al- Deia' in Al-Mukhtara who mentioned that Omar offered her forty thousands as dowry due to her significance and generosity. Al- Hafeth Ibn Asaker narrated Ibn Omar narrating the Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him), He said: “All lines of ancestors and of in-laws will be discontinued in the Resurrection Day except my line of ancestors and my in-laws”. Al-Tebi referred the line of ancestors to the kinships linked to the parents, while he referred the in-laws to the new family ties that brought about by marriage. The previous Hadeeth and the other related sayings illustrate the value and benefits of being related to the Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him). This, however, does not contradict with His other sayings in which He argued His households to devoutness, obedience, and fear of Allah; or the sayings in which He pointed out that He does not spare them anything from Allah, and He does not hold to benefit or harm them. This means that He, by himself, does not hold the benefit or harm, but Allah, by His generosity, offered the Messenger the abilities of intercession and forgiveness, etc... He phrased His saying in that manner in respect to the issue of fear; so no one after Him is allowed to repeat His sayings. The story of Sayedena Omar with Al-Sayeda Safeyya, aunt of the Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him), is mentioned in her biography within this web site. Sayedena Omar, after hearing the Messenger words told Al-Sayeda Safeyya that her kinship to the Messenger will not spare her anything from Allah. When the Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) heard that he became angry. The messenger gathered the people and said: “how dare some folks claim that My kinship has no benefits?” That made Sayedena Omar marry the daughter of Sayedena Ali bin Abi Taleb (Allah blessed them all).
