Al- Bazzar narrated Al-Sayeda Safeyya (Allah blessed her) saying: “I left the Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) when I saw a group, of Quraish, bragging in glory to one another and remembering the pre-Islamic epoch. I said: Isn't He one of us, referring to the Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him)? They responded that the tree grew in the miss”. She said: “I went back to the Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) and told Him that”. He ordered Bilal to call for prayer. The Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) praised Allah, paid Him tribute, and said: “O' people, who am I”? They said: “You are the Messenger of Allah”. He said: “Reveal my line of ancestors”. They said: “You are Mohammed the son of Abdullah the son of Abdulmutaleb”. He said: “That's true, I am Mohammad the son of Abdullah, and I am the Messenger of Allah. How dare some folks degrade my origins? I swear Allah that I have the best origin and the finest position”. When Al- Ansar heard that they called up to be armed saying that: some people had angered the Messenger of Allah. They armed themselves and went to see the Prophet (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him). They encircled the people till they crowded the gates of mosques and alleys. They stood up in front of the Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) and said: “O' the Messenger of Allah, you just make your orders and we will exterminate their ancestry”. When that group of Quraish saw that, they went to the Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) clearing themselves and asking his forgiveness. The Messenger of Allah (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) said: “If people are a gown, then Al-Ansar is the coat of arms”, then He commended and complemented them.
His noble line of ancestors (the Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon Him) was narrated in the lesson of devotion by Ibn Arabi.
